sleeping on the laps

Snowie's humble beginning

thank you for loving snowie

ever since i put up Snowie's adoption profile on Catwelfare's website, i've received an overwhelming response asking about her. she's one little hot babe i tell ya. seriously, i think there may have been 30 or 40 different people asking about her so far and it is still increasing. the enquirers range from Singaporean Chinese to Malays to expats from America-Japanese, Australia-Singaporean, to French. her appeal is indeed international.

i'm sorry to inform that Snowie has been adopted. she is now quite happy in a family with 3 existing cats. they have not been properly introduced yet as the existing ones are still hissing at her now and then. but she's well protected. time will be needed to see if they will be one big family. if she cannot be integrated into the family successfully, then she may need to find a new home. the adopter is doing all she can to make sure its one big happy ending.

she is one little piggy, able to sleep everywhere and anytime. she's an adorable little thing, having put on some weight, she is now very *buh buh* (chubby in dialect) her little head is also very round.

silver mommy has been released back to her little home. it is a shame that i was not able to find a home for her. she is really one big softie. her babies are now in good homes, hope she didnt miss them too much. :(

will you still want me if i looked like this?

Orange and Smokey have gone to their new home

tonight, i bid farewell to the beautiful babies, Orange and Tabby. They have gone to their new home where they'd be safe and loved. No more scurrying away from huge vehicles and evil humans who'd stomp them away. They will have warmth, comfort and a proper roof over their heads now. They are a very lucky pair to have been adopted together by a kind couple.

it was a teary affair as i've grown to love these babies very much and its been so wonderful to have them around. many pictures and videos were taken and will be updated when time permits.

"To my babies, Orange and Smokey, may you be happy in your new home and be good boys OK? Your mommy and sister will be fine. Snowie sends her love to you both and will miss playing rough-and-tumble with you. See you soon"

love,
your foster mummy

suckling

Day 4

silver mommy's milk ducts are hardening up into one massive hard lump. pretty scary but thankfully was told that it is normal and should clear up in a week or two. didnt allow babies to suckle on her after the op for fear of hurting her wound. decided to let them reunite for a longer time today since its been 4 days and the babies enjoyed their mother's love deeply. here're some photos of them suckling mommy's milk. she's an amazing mother. allowing her babies to suckle on her for hours while she lays there perfectly still. even when she wanted to get up to eat some biscuits, the babies still latched on tightly, so in the end, she ended up eating the bicuits while lying down! babies are exploring the room currently and they're too cute.

Day 3 - Updates

silver mommy has been hiding under the bed for the past 3 days. she is now more confident and would come out and meow and get some loving from us. she enjoys headbutting with you and has lots of affection to give!

the babies would wake and play, scamper around, prance and pounce. then they would collapse into a heap and snooze away. how adorable :)

baby white is a major snoozer. she sleeps alot while her brothers play. here's a shot of her falling asleep on the hubby's lap. :)

the tabby and orange boys are really close. it is my personal wish that they could be adopted together cuz they are just so close. here's them hugging each other.

*meal time*

quite a dissappointing day today. the few potential adoptors have not be able to take them home after all. hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. bathed the babies today and they have been really good! their fur is now nice and clean and they look much cleaner and fluffier.

the grey tabby has been the most well-behaved boy, not a single whine from him! the most vocal one has been the orange boy, often whining his lungs out and tugging your heart strings and leaving one with not much option but to let him get his way - which was to come out from the carrier and play. :)

the white girl is such a sweet angel, often seen snoozing while her brothers play.

mommy silver has been amazing. despite smelling different after the bath, she accepted her babies totally and continued to lick and groom them, communicating with them in small purrs and mews. i really do believe they are speaking cat language. its so nice to watch them exchanging affection. :)

it'll be hard to watch this family 'break apart' eventually.. but i know and i hope it'll be for the best.. it's almost impossible to find someone who would be able to take this family as a whole. usually its enquiries for one and not the other. i do hope they get adopted into good, loving families real soon..

Day 2 - baby white is looking better today

after 1 dose of medication, baby white is starting to look much better already!

she was the 'ugliest' of the lot - puffy eyes, dried with secretion, the little runt of the lot. but look at her in just a matter of 1 day!! she has blossomed into the most beautiful thing!

Day 1 - More photos!

Day 1 - uodates on the silver family

silver family is now safe at my mom's place. risked arms and legs to get permission for them to rest there for 'a couple of days'.

silver mommy is still woozy from the anaesthesia and is resting quietly in the cage. her babies are still frisky (was very hungry!) and wanted so suckle on mommy. had to separate them in case they injure (and annoy) mommy who very much needed the rest. thankfully, the kitties all took to wet food well. will get them kitten formula tomorrow.

so far, got 2 enquiries on them. hopefully it will be realised.
